Hello my name is Brett and I am a private Australian hobbyist that fell in love with the herpetoculture concept and in particular the husbandry and breeding of Australian native pythons. I’ve been as an avid keeper for 35 years, including 20 years of breeding knowledge and experience. I have kept most of the Australian python species at some stage along the journey. What amazes me about these special creatures is I continue to learn new things every season, particularly with the genetics of the amazing morphs being produced. This continually feeds my passion for these amazing animals. My passion originated with Woma pythons and I have morphed into the Antaresia craze, primarily with the childreni genus with the various combinations from the Marble, T+ and Tarble morphs. I’m also developing some Maculosa and Stimsoni projects as well.

The secret to breeding animals is to start your collection and project foundations with top quality animals from quality breeders. I have sourced my foundation animals from some of Australia’s top breeders. 95% of my childreni and stimsoni animals are from David Evans stock, my amazing PL T+ childreni are from Fay Rankin, my Maculosa animals from Kurt Livesley and my locality specific Aspidites from Baden Pobjoy for the womas and Rob Sullivan for the axanthic BHP’s. I have made lifelong friends with these breeders and many more like-minded people which makes the Australian hobby such a pleasure to be a part of.

I see my animals and the collection I have grown as living art work and to a point are my therapy animals. Had a stressful day in your primary job, go tinker and work in the snake room, problems of the world solved.

Often with my breeding projects I will have excess animals that I’ll offer to like-minded people who are licenced in their state (cannot freight to WA or TAS) to feed their passion and grow the hobby through education, expertise and great customer service. I want to pass on my knowledge and the joys that a pet python or python’s can bring to your life. Hence the birth of the ‘Cool Vibes Reptiles’ concept.
